VAE 1405 Emulsion

Storage and Use Celvolit®1405 emulsion contains some initial preservatives to protect against microbial attack. However, if storage conditions are improper, there is still a risk of mold and deterioration. Therefore, in addition to ensuring that storage tanks and pipelines are sufficiently clean during storage and use, we also recommend that customers add an appropriate amount of preservative during use. Celvolit®1405 should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment at 5~35°C, with a shelf life of 6 months. During storage, it must be protected from frost and direct sunlight. During use, it is essential to ensure that the lids of opened packaging drums or containers are always tightly sealed to prevent water evaporation from the emulsion surface, which could lead to skin formation or even changes in the emulsion's properties.

Celvolit®1405 is a plasticizer-free copolymer emulsion.

Product Overview Celvolit®1405 is a copolymer emulsion with low residual monomers, low total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), and low odor. It features strong initial tack and excellent wet adhesion, providing good bonding and heat resistance to various substrates. It is widely used for bonding porous, loose materials or dense surface materials, offering firm and durable adhesion. Its low viscosity and high solid content make it particularly suitable for nozzle applications. Without the addition of plasticizers or solvents, Celvolit®1405 can form a soft and transparent film at temperatures above 0°C.

Protective Colloid Celvolit®1405 exhibits good compatibility with various additives and auxiliaries such as plasticizers, solvents, and fillers, providing broad possibilities for adhesive formulation design. Typical applications of Celvolit®1405 include (but are not limited to): Cigarette manufacturing: filter tip adhesive and seam adhesive; Cigarette packaging adhesive; Printing/paper packaging adhesive; Furniture manufacturing/woodworking adhesive.
